Had I if thought of it I would have totally done it. I agree that making a donation is better than some item that will more than likely be used and pushed aside. I love your idea!! And yes not all will agree with your donation site, but the people who know you will understand why you picked that charity! You could maybe post a small board to the side of the seating chart or somewhere that explained your charity. That way the "guest" could see how "their" favor is helping or going. In the long run I think there are a few areas you can use the "it's my special day" card....well andthis is one area. Point blank it's dear to you and your fi, it's close to your heart so yallgo for it. I think at least 98% of the guest list will agree.

Ps. Please post after I can't wait to he's how much they all LOVE it

PsEmilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15441331488003343982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7182249662596483407.post-88761217837983988322010-07-20T17:35:03.328-07:002010-07-20T17:35:03.328-07:00I see no problem with donation in lieu of favors. ...I see no problem with donation in lieu of favors. I think it's a great idea. I think it's a slim margin of people that would be offended. We are going to make paper cranes too, and I had no idea about the Wedding Co. deal. Thanks for the tip!Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10882952194282592771noreply@blogger.com
